Many of my peers have been enjoying podcasts and have been non-stop raving about them. They love how they are able to cut back on screen time and appreciate hearing about a variety of unique topics from the perspective of knowledgeable people. After seeing them praise this platform, I decided that I wanted to give podcasts a try myself. Below is a list of podcasts for women, by women that I will be adding to my library.

Podcast #1 - Call Her Daddy

“Alex Cooper's Call Her Daddy is the most listened to podcast by women on Spotify. In a world prone to snap judgment, Cooper cuts through the bullshit with every guest and topic, asking the questions you want the answers to. Stop guessing what you're going to see on CHD each week - you'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll feel, you'll think. New episodes on Wednesdays only on Spotify.” - Call Her Daddy

Podcast #2 - Stuff Mom Never Told You

“Join hosts Anney and Samantha to listen to Stuff Mom Never Told You, continuing the conversation of what it is to identify as female through research-based discussion around feminism and how it impacts everyday life.” - Stuff Mom Never Told You

Podcast #3 - Call Your Girlfriend

“Call Your Girlfriend was a podcast for long-distance besties everywhere co-hosted by Aminatou Sow and Ann Friedman, and executive produced by Gina Delvac. Every week, Aminatou and Ann called each other to discuss the intricacies of pop culture and the latest in politics…The show highlighted women who are agents, creators, movers, and shakers who have smart, interesting things to say. It also showcased the lived experiences of non-famous women who are just trying to get through the week. CYG was here for every facet of women’s humanity. After eight years of fully independent production, [they have] decided to stop producing new episodes in February 2022” - Call Your Girlfriend

Podcast #4 - Girls Gotta Eat

“Girls Gotta Eat is a comedy podcast about dating, sex, and relationships hosted by yours truly. We candidly discuss any and all dating-related topics from sexual fetishes to finances, bring in regular guests including therapists, comedians, and authors to assist, and highlight our hilarious and dedicated audience with a segment each week. We believe in self-care, the power of female friendship, and never settling for bad sex. We love nothing more than bringing our wild show on the road and meeting our "SNACKHEADS" around the globe.” - Girls Gotta Eat

Podcast #5 - 51 Percent

“In America, women make up more than half the population. Worldwide, women are expected to outnumber men within the next fifty years – and every issue we face is one that affects us all. Whether it’s the environment, health, our children, politics or the arts, there’s a women’s perspective, and 51% is a show dedicated to that viewpoint. Host Jesse King talks to experts in their field for a wide-ranging, entertaining discussion of issues that not only fall into the traditional ‘women’s issues’ category, but topics that concern us all as human beings and citizens of the global community.”- 51 Percent

Podcast #6 - Hysteria

“Political commentator and comedy writer Erin Ryan and former White House Deputy Chief of Staff Alyssa Mastromonaco are joined by a bicoastal squad of funny, opinionated women to talk through everything from reproductive rights to romcoms. They break down the political news of the week, plus the topics, trends, and cultural stories that affect women’s lives. New episodes drop every Thursday.” - Hysteria

Hi, thanks for stopping by!

I’m Jacqueline! I’m a 22-year-old college student from Long Island, New York, and I am the founder of Lassie. I started Lassie because I have a strong passion for both digital communications and women’s empowerment. I aim to create a virtual space that can connect and inspire women. Far too often online social platforms tear women down. It is time to discuss this issue and create an environment that uplifts.
